Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!!

The kids really liked Ryan's "Jay-Jay" cake. It was decorated by his teacher and my dear friend, Joan! Thank You!

Happy Birthday big brother!

Ryan with his favorite gift--"Jay-Jay"
Ryan turned 3 years old on May 26th and it looks like it will be another exciting year of growth, challenge and change for him ahead. This last year his English vocabulary has expanded from words like: "Mama, Dada" to short phrases/sentences such as: " It's like water in the bottle peeking out" or "Why did Joseph go see Pharoah?" He's in the potty training/self-dressing stage and is super into hitting balls and small objects(tsk, tsk) with his baseball bat. He is a real good older brother to Bradyn and he loves and cares for him so much (which includes tackling, pushing, squeezzing and sitting on him.) He is learning how to read and is making progress with it, (if I remember to do his reading with him :) and greatly enjoys being mentally stimulated. The Lord gave him a special spirit helper for learning along with a special key promise to claim for the New Year. Just seeing him grow, learn, and progress is a blessing I would never trade-- not counting all the fun and special times as well as the hard times we share. We love you, little Ryan, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! XXXOOO!!!

WORDSTOCK ROCKED!!!

Moving!!!

The last two months were extremely busy for us--April: fundraising for Wordstock and the usual, looking for a house, getting everything packed down and out, working on a drama play and dance piece for Wordstock, food pickups and dropoffs, kids and home life, etc. Easter was great too! May: moving out of the house on the day of our year deadline, living at campgrounds, hotels and vans for the first two weeks with all the kids (yes, homeless) buying a house (THANK YOU JESUS!), 10 others and myself going to Wordstock for a week or two (WORDSTOCK ROCKED!!!), food pickups and dropoffs, setting up our new place, fundraising, kids and home life, etc. All in all it was PACKED!!! I'll post some pics of our move and camping time with the kids.
