Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.

Mutt and Jeff

Our Home is undergoing a number of changes. People moving, more people moving and then someone is going to move to another Home. When I stopped to think about it though I am really going to miss those going so I thought I would say something about a guy who I haven't known for too long but has been an incredible addition to our Home and just a great guy in our Home, my brother-in-law Phil. Ever since he came to our Home Phil and I have this sort of Mutt and Jeff relationship (the comparison is almost uncanny when you see that he is about 5'5 and I am 6'4).
The other thing that has pulled us together a little is the fact that we are always put together for the jobs that neither of us have a clue how to do. Personaly I think the problem stems from the fact that our Home has grown too Tracy dependent. Now Tracy is the guy that always gets called on to do the things like fix the car, build the room, solve World Hunger. Whereas Phil and I are more of the change the oil, clean the room, cook the dinner kind of guys. Now since Tracy just happens to be one of the guys moving on (gee I wonder why), the Home sort of decided that is was time for Phil and I to get some of the more "challenging" jobs (see phil's post on his website about ball joints). Now I am sure the intentions were good and all but when neither of us have a clue what we are doing we just kind of hem and haw argue about what is the proper way to do things, try to think of what Tracy would do, and then "say screw it, lets just do the easy way" which invariably is the wrong way! Well unfortunately Phil is on his way to another Home (damn California) so that will leave me alone to do as many thiings wrong as possible and accept the blame on my own as well. Well hope everything works out for you Phil and Timna, thanks for living with us, bearing with us, and above not being smarter than us cause we can only stand so many people like Tracy!
