Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.

Winter Olympics
Who needs to stay inside and watch the Olympics when you can have your own outside? Yesterday it was family day and we had a huge snow storm blowing through (about 10-15 inches of snow.) So after playing around outside all morning we decided to have a "Winter Olympics" in the afternoon. Snowboarding? Sure, just take the wheels (trucks?) off a skate board and voila! we have down hill slalom, although the slaloming part was basically just wobbling around trying to stay on the board.
In our next event we tried the skeleton, a strangely fitting name, and I even won the GOLD!!! Luge was next and if you have ever tried sledding downhill lying on your back looking up at the sky you have probably found that steering or even just knowing where you are going is impossible. Unfortunately, I was one of the first ones down the hill and ended up running straight into the bonfire (Well, stopped about 6 inches in front of it, anyway.) That run was good enough for a fourth place finish. Our last individual event was the 2-man Bobsled. While my teammate (Jordan) and I had a good start, we strangely ended up taking a hard right turn and the bottom of the slope and ran into the bushes. Good thing I don't drive yet! Our last event event was a very odd version of Biathlon, but was really just a Winter remake of relay race. Our team finished 2nd both times but I think that it had more to do with the fact that Tracy and Phil were against us and both of them run like madmen. Finally here is a pic of what the spirit of the Olympics is all about.

Move gone wrong
Well, it is that wonderful time again, MOVING time! We got a notice from our landlady that she is sellng the house and that we need to be out by March 15. That was in January and we have been searching like mad to find a place that: A) we can afford and B) that we can fit in. It seemed like we had a potential place, but that fell through in a most spectacular fashion (another thing you can give the Lord is that He is unconventional.) It is a rather long story that you can check out on Phil's blog. Anyhow, we are moving on and hopefully will have decided on which house to get by tonight. Keep that in your prayers. Here are some pics.
