Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.

“Winter is the time for comfort,
for good food and warmth,
for the touch of a friendly hand
and for a talk beside the fire:
it is the time for home.”

Little Boys

Bradyn(10 mos.) and Ryan(2 yrs.)
Two little boys come in their suits and ties
But, they are shy and adventurous, full of surprise,
With misshapen halos and mischievous grins,
Small dirty faces, and sweet, sticky chins.
They keep me so busy, and yet all the while
Nothing can brighten my world like their smile.
And no greater treasure has brought me more joy
Than my curious, active, and lovable boys!

Somebody Bigger

Ryan(2 yrs.)
Who made the mountains? Who made the trees? Who made the rivers flow to the sea? And who sends the rain when the earth is dry? Somebody bigger than you and I!

Imparting true Christmas with others

The kids and I (Promise) went out for the day performing for our friends who have been a big help to us in more ways than one. They loved the kids!

Angel Thoughts

I saw the angel in the marble and carved until I set him free. ~Michelangelo

We are each of us angels with only one wing,
and we can only fly by embracing one another.

"A baby is an angel
whose wings decrease
as his legs increase."

Parent Day

We found time in the middle of our busy Christmas to have a family day, wooooo! We took the kids out in the snow and slid around, tracked deer, fell down a few dozen times, and had a blast.

Snow Tots

Ryan(2) and his cousin Shawn(2)
Half the time they were busy eating the snow
or getting picked up from their many falls.
