Families are like fudge... mostly sweet with a few nuts. Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.

Little Minds

Finally back at Home for a while. Spent some quality time with this little munchkin. (Still nameless) I definitely haven't spent enough time with this little wigger. (Although I am not sure if he really counts as a wigger, he is darker than JD. I would blame the mailman but we were in China! Iffy none the less.)

And these two guys are too much fun to be with. While I was waiting for the pics to upload Brady went and put his finger in the fan, got nicked once and says Owwy, then he puts his finger in again and gets hit harder by the fan and yells Owwy louder. So I told him of course it is going to hurt wise guy, didn't you find that out the first time? But his curiosity wasn't satisfied and he goes off and comes back with a pencil to put in the fan. Naturally I jumped to the fans rescue at that point before he figures out how to really break it. Now were did he get that idea from, I swear I never try to break things!

Those who stayed by the stuff....

Just got back from Wordstock yesterday afternoon. It was great, teens were great, music was awesome, organization ran better than expected, sports were fantastic though I think I am getting worse. I need to find some way to play something other than snowball fights during winter. Got to meet some interesting people, people I only know from blogs or hearsay. Surprisingly I didn't talk with Ruthie much about sports, didn't talk with Nyna much though I heard lots of good stuff about her from Sam (all good I assure you). Didn't talk to Kenji at all though I like alot of what he writes and he was even in the cabin next ours.

Had a whole lot to look forward to at home though, our first daughter was born while I was at Wordstock. Now to explain it a little I definitely did not plan on being gone when the baby was born, It was due around the 20th and with the first two Prom was about 2 weeks late. Besides there was no one else who could take the teens there as Jaydee and Terri went to Cali two weeks before Wordstock. Well the Lord knew when his time was, I am just happy that it came out healthy and that we were able to have it with the midwife. She said she had 12 babies due in May and June so we were a little concerned as there wasn't much of a back up.

Well anyhow the reason for this post was to say thank you to those who stayed back Home and took care of the kids while we were gone. It was a crazy week, something came up with one of our contacts and my Dad and Jo had to drive down to the City, then Prom, Sam, and my Mom had to go have a baby leaving Maria with 6 kids under the age of 5 and only a 9 and 10 year old for help. Last year wasn't much better, it was me, my mom and Timna with 8 kids and no house to live in for two weeks. Well thank you Jesus for how You always take care of us and thank you Sam, Maria, Promise, Mom, Dad, and Jo for being at Home and taking such good care of everything here. Love you lots!

A Wonderful Mother's Day Gift from Jesus!

She was a total surprise gift to me! For most of my pregnancy, I was convinced and told everyone that I was going to have a boy--even dreamt of it, that it would be a Gemini, and I would be two weeks late (definitely would not have a baby during Wordstock time, how inconvenient!) Well, I just so happened to be very OFF (big time) in my guesstimation of things and the Lord had this grand surprise for me up His sleeve the whole time. The delivery was very quick, TYJ!! We drove to the Midwife's at 2:45am which is about 3 hours away, but thanks to our speedy driver, Sam, we made it there in 2 and 1/2 hours and I had the baby at 5:45am. If we had arrived on time, I would probably have had the baby in the car. My wonderful Mother-in-law, Jenny, who has faithfully been there with me for every one of my births, was again by my side to help me this third time (thanks, Mom!) My dear huband, Toshi, was so hoping to be there for the birth, but our Taurus girl just had to come during Wordstock time. Toshi was really praying for a girl, so I know the Lord made it real special by granting him his heart's desire of having his very own little girl. One thing the Lord said really stuck to me:
I love you, My darling wife, and I'm looking forward to the birth of our child. She was chosen by Me, and she chose to come to be your child on Earth. She will melt your hearts‚ give you great joy, and deepen your love for Me. She will be a blessing! Though it will be a lot of work to raise her, as is the case with all children, you will never regret that you allowed Me to fulfill My will for you through conceiving her. Thank you‚ My precious love. I am with you to keep you each step of the way.
Thank You, Sweet Husband and Love, for Your beautiful gift of this new baby!
